I visited the sound engineer and producer Steve Shirk at his Shrik studio (http://shirkmusic.com/Main.html) in Chicago. 
Steve has been working on a lot of great american indie rock and folk projects.
He recorded and mixed lately the band ”Other Lives” that went just on tour with ”Bon Iver” and is going on tour next February with ”Radiohead” in the US.
Steve has been very curious about phonon. In between sessions, he tried our SMB-02 headphones that he liked straight away! I gave him as a gift our PHONON LIQUID that he was so looking forward to try with all his equipment.
11月某日。 アメリカはシカゴを拠点に活動するサウンド・エンジニア&プロデューサーである Steve ShirkのShirkスタジオ(http://shirkmusic.com/Main.html)を訪れて来ました。 Steveは近年のアメリカン インディー・ロックやフォークバンドとの仕事で活躍しており、 Bon Iverのツアーや来年の2月からRadioheadと全米ツアーを一緒に回る話題のバンド”Other Lives”の レコーディング&ミックスエンジニアとしても手腕を発揮しています。
以前よりPHONONにとても興味を持ってくれていたSteveは、SMB-02をとても気に入ってくれた様子でした。 そしてPHONON LIQUIDを早くスタジオ中の機材に試してみたいとのこと。 さらに磨きのかかるサウンドに注目ですね。
During my South Asian Dj tour in September, for the after party of the new club Avalon in Singapore, I went to Phuket, Thailand at the amazing Sri Panwa resort to play with the extraordinaire DJ/producer “Peter Kruder” from the very polpular electro jazz unit from the 90s “Kruder&Dorfmeister” from Austria, Vienna and the Amsterdam based french house hero “DJ Gregory”.
9月東南アジア・ツアー中での一幕。 F1の開催されたエキサイティングな週末に、タイ・プーケットのリゾート地Sri Panwaへ。シンガポールの巨大クラブAvalonのオープニング打ち上げアフター・パーティで、オーストリア・ウィーンを拠点とし90年代を代表する エレクトロ・ジャズ・ユニットKruder&DorfmeisterのヴェテランDJ&プロデューサー”Peter Kruder”と、アムステルダムを拠点とする人気フランス人ハウスDJ”Dj Gregory”と共演。
At sunset Peter was recording some songs with London’s vocalist “Rob Gallagher (Galliano, Earl Zinger) in his villa on Peter’s mobile studio. Peter tried our SMB-02 headphones and immediately ordered us a pair.
美しいサンセットを眺めながらPeterはホテルの部屋でモーバイル・スタジオを組み、ロンドンのヴォーカリスト”Rob Gallagher” (Galliano, Earl Zinger)とのレコーディングにてSMB-02を試聴。 とても気に入ってくれ、即一台をご注文頂きました。
After stopping in Tokyo for his gig at the club Warehouse702, Gregory, who is also a technology otaku, bought us a pair too.
同じく機材オタクでもあるGregoryはその後、東京のクラブWarehouse702でのDJプレイのために来日した際にSMB-02を一台購入してくれこの表情。
